Sugar scrub for clear skin:

  • Use a scrub made out of white or brown sugar mixed with a few drops of lemon juice.
  • Another way would be to use a blend of milk and honey on your face.
  • Rub these scrubs gently on your face and you will notice that your skin feels fresh and healthy! You can use them once in 2 days.

Turmeric for a face wash:

  • Make a paste of gram flour, turmeric powder & milk and wash your face with it.
  • You can even use a paste made of oatmeal powder and honey for cleaning your face.

These can be used as a substitute for soap or face wash. They can be used 2-3 times a day for quick results.

Beet for soft and lush lips:

  • When finely ground beet root is used along with a drop or two of lemon juice it can make your lips look lush and even help get rid of the fine lines.

Cucumber for clearing dark circles:

  • Want to get rid of dark circles? Nothing like cucumber to do good to it. Cut cucumber into slices and keep them on your eyes. Apart from removing dark circles these will also soothe your tired eyes.
  • The other method would be to apply potato or sandalwood paste on the skin around your eyes.

You can use either one or alternate between these methods. You can use them for 15 minutes a day for fast results.

Baking Soda/Papaya for removing dark patches:

  • The best way to get rid of the dark patches on the neck or underarms would be to use a paste of baking soda and water. It is natural bleach and instantly works on the patches.
  • The alternate would be to use a mix of papaya juice with water and a few drops of lemon juice.

These treatments can be done once a week to witness instant results.

Fuller’s earth for improved skin texture:

  • If you have an uneven skin tone, then you should try using a coffee or fruit scrub. Blend coffee powder with some fruit (e.g., papaya or strawberry) and apply it on all the places where you have a dark or tanned skin tone.
  • b. Fuller’s earth (multani mitti) also works great on making your skin tone even. It helps reduce oiliness of the skin.

You can do this 3-4 times a month so that the skin tone can become even and you look gorgeous!

Honey scrub for beautiful hands:

  • For good looking hands, a manicure will definitely help! Wash your hands well and apply soap on them, now clean the hands with a brush.
  • You can even use a lemon and honey scrub instead of soap. Always remember to apply a conditioner or oil on your skin after scrubbing it.

You can do this once or two times a month or more depending on the kind of skin damage that you are planning to undo.

Avocado peel for lovely legs:

  • To get lovelier looking happy feet do a pedicure at home. You can soak your washed feet in warm water for 10 minutes, then take out and scrub it with sugar. After this, you can use the peel of avocado and clean the not-so-soft skin or cracked heels.
  • Applying olive or almond oil on your feet daily before going to bed can help treat cracked skin.
  • You can even bleach the feet once in 15 days to get rid of the dullness.

For quick results, you can do this home-made pedicure once a week or every fortnight.

Apart from all this, good hair care is also very essential. You can use hibiscus powder or shikakai (Herbal powder made from fruit pods of Acacia Concinna tree) to get lovely looking tresses. You can even use egg yolk to get softer and silkier hair.
